Sometimes bigger is not better,
as in the case of St. Mary's Memorial Home in Glendale, Ohio.
This cozy 19 bed licensed nursing facility is a godsend for those
fortunate enough to find a room here. St. Mary's is a real home with
home cooked meals every day, caregivers that are like family, and private rooms.
St. Mary's is a non-profit, private pay facililty that houses family and friends of
the Sisters of the Transfiguration and also accepts other qualified applicants.
Most private pay nursing
homes cost about the same but some offer a lot
more. Consider not just a place but the level of care, the size, the surroundings, the spirit, and the spiritual. And don’t forget the food. Our home is small but our spirit is great. The setting is idyllic and our “family” is wonderful. Our kitchen provides dining that is a cut above the norm.
